AFTER THE GAME is back for 2008.
The official Heritage round of the NRL got under way with a classic showdown between traditional rivals Manly and Parramatta out west.

For Des Hasler and the Sea Eagles it was a ‘courageous’ win after having to play with no interchange options for most of the second half due to injury.

As for the home side, Eels coach Michael Hagan admitted next week’s bye couldn’t have come at a better time:

“I don’t think I could face up to it again next week”,  the visibly mystified coach conceded after the game.
